Northern Lights
Jenny recently purchased one of my 1/48th Victorian Father Christmas' and came up with this very clever idea...
''I have been looking for a way to display your fabulous old fashioned Santa, and I hope you like the results - see attachment. I have used pulsating lights to try and give the impression of the northern lights of the North Pole. It is difficult to catch the effect in a photo and the effect is even better with the glass dome in situ as that reflects the light.
I asked Jenny to explain a little more how she did the lighting for this setting...
''The lights were from Small Scale Lights. They are two small LEDs which were wired into the base of the display dome (from Hobby Craft) after removing the LED that was already there.''
